OVERLAY/RESURFACING

An overlay or resurface project can be an option rather than replacement.  This is especially true in the case of parking lots.   Resurfacing a parking lot can be very appealing due to cost.  It is much less expensive to resurface large areas such as parking lots than to replace.

Only certain situations can a driveway be resurfaced.   This is because the overlay is 1-1/2 - 2 inches thick.   The existing driveway must be lowered at the garage, sidewalk, curb or any other adjoining surface prior to othe overlay. Otherwise  an uneven joint will be created.

 Life expectancy for an overlay or resurfaced parking lot is 8-10 years with proper maintenance.
